The Nordic Academy Proficiency Course teaches participants the correct basic technique in a 3 hours intensive learning clinic (2 hours if its 1-2 people only!). It is the best method of acquiring the Nordic Walking technique if attending regular classes is not an option - ideal for those people who have hectic lives or live in remoter areas of New Zealand.
Pre-requisites for Participation
Participants should have an adequate fitness level to be able to walk continuously at a moderate pace for at least one hour.

Overview of NW - history and health benefits
Warm up and mobilisation exercises
Acquiring the basic NW technique
Guided Nordic Walking practise
Correction exercises for common technique mistakes
Stretching exercises for NW
